Festivals: Best Friends Day Details
The first round of bands has just been released for Richmond VA’s Best Friends Day festival. So far, the list includes groups like Propagandhi, Municipal Waste, Banner Pilot, Off With Their Heads, and a reunited Black Army Jacket. This is only the first batch of announced performers, and additional acts will be announced at a later date.
Previous Best Friends Days have featured bands like Strike Anywhere, None More Black, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb, Brutal Knights, and Paint it Black.
From the Best Friends Day site:
“Best Friends Day started in 2001 with a group of 40 kids celebration their friendships at the end of the summer at Hadad’s Lake. Over the last 8 years, the weekend has grown from one day to four and has included a scavenger hunt, many of bands, as well as an assortment of other weird fun.”
2010 marks the 9th iteration of this festival, which will be held August 19th through the 22nd. You can find the complete details of the festival here.
