Aerial Salad’s new single, The Same 24 Hours (As Beyoncé) will be released on the 2nd September, the track is a scathing criticism of modern influencer / celebrity /social media culture. Inspired by Molly Mae Hague stating that “Beyoncé has the same 24 hours in a day that we do, the song really captures the frustration that millions of people have with this sentiment, and indeed with someone that runs sweatshops proclaiming “we’re all equal in this world” when it’s just not true. The song also throws jabs at modern working life, and the constant feeling of ‘survival’ over prosperity for millions of British people who are just trying to live nice, relaxing, lowkey lifes, but between soaring energy prices and unrealistic life expectations set by the likes of Mollie Mae on social media everyone is just left burnt out and hurting.

In typical Aerial Salad fashion, they deliver this message in a fun, sarcastic, cheeky and infectiously catchy way. The band really flexing their ability to step outside of their immediately recognisable sound, whiles remaining true to said sound. The track is the first official single from the upcoming and as yet untitled follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2020 sophomore album, Dirt Mall. Aerial Salad will also be playing a sold out show at London’s Blondies on the 15th September to celebrate the release of The Same 24 Hours (As Beyoncé).
