Borts Stream New Single “Los Zapatos”

Salisbury, UK punk trio Borts have revealed their brand new single, Los Zapatos, which is out now via digital platforms. The track is the latest to be taken from their long-awaited debut album, Preach This!, which will be released on 25th November via Lockjaw Records. The band will also be appearing at Pick It Up Fest on the 4th November in Wycombe, UK alongside the likes of WSTR, Sonic Boom Six, Popes Of Chillitown & Riskee & The Ridicule.

“Los Zapatos was the last song we wrote for the album. Initially, we started playing it as if it was a mid-tempo driving rock song, but once we hit the studio it became pretty clear that we needed to ramp up the tempo. We kept pushing it and pushing it until the vibe felt right and naturally, that was fast and chaotic, especially with the addition of the tambourine. It ended up sounding like a mashup of The Cure and Blink 182 which is obviously a great combo. The tune was also originally called Shoes but that was boring so we translated it to make it sound far more interesting.”
