Exit internationalSouth Wales noise rock trio Exit International have announced they are splitting up at the end of October this year. Frontman Scott Lee Andrews has said this in a statement:

“As of October 30th 2015, Exit_International will finally self-destruct in a barrage of noise and beats and yells. After 7 years of making headline bands/boyfriends/certain music industry arseholes nervous, the slack will be cut. We have had a fucking blast and we know you have too. We managed to attract those with only the best taste in art into our dirty circle. On paper it should never have worked, but it ALMOST fucking did. A band like us shouldn’t get nominated for national awards (The Welsh Music Prize), recieve daytime radio play (BBC Radio 1 – Cheers Ferne ‘Baby Dragon Nose’ Cotton) and even end up releasing a record & touring our spiritual home,  Japan. There’s loads of other notches on the proverbial bedpost, but those who were there for the ride will not need reminding. The final shows we have will be nothing but a terminal velocity party until detonation.  Oh yeah….and someone is undergoing a sex change.”

The band’s final 2 shows in October will be the We Shall Overcome festival at Newport’s Le Pub on October 2nd, and then in Wolverhampton for Ginger Wildheart’s ‘Nightmare Before Halloweeen’.

The band have also posted a video for their track Pearls & Swine, check it out below.
