Getting Dumber Drop New Single & Video “A Love So Little”
Perth clock-rockers Getting Dumber are back with a fresh wad of chewed up 'n' spat out bubblegum punk! Recorded, mixed and mastered…
GLUE is the finest expression yet of the profound friendships that created German trio Daily Thompson. Here singer and guitarist Danny Zaremba, bassist Mercedes Lalakakis-Bee and drummer Thorsten ‘Babblz’ Stratmann finally find their place. It now feels like the band have got their sound together to where they always wanted it to be. Inspired by bands like Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Alice In Chains, and The Smashing Pumpkins, they created their vision of the nineties Seattle sound. Heavily influenced by the grunge scene, the songs on GLUE are propelled by massive, fuzzy, distorted guitars, melodic hooks, and the signature vocals from both sides. Their new single, BTK, finds bassist Mercedes singing lead vocals for the first time. Clocking in at just over seven minutes, BTK is a sprawling, cathartic epic that sees Mercedes drawing inspiration from female empowerment and strength.
“This song took time to take shape; it was a process that lasted over two years. It is also the first time the lyrics were chosen to capture the feeling of victimhood and the emotional journey from hope to fierceness. In the end, the victim longs for release. The song portrays an experience that no woman should ever have to endure, while at the same time celebrating the strength, resilience, and empowerment of women.” (Mercedes Lalakakis-Bee)
