Mad Caddies Announce Covers Album; Stream First Track
Long running ska and reggae outfit Mad Caddies has announced details for the band’s next album. The disc will take the form of a project featuring reggae, ska, and/or dancehall covers of punk rock favourites, all produced by Fat Mike. The band’s Chuck Robertson commented:
“We had a grand vision that we needed to have four-to-six sounds on here. We needed to have traditional ska, super horn-heavy dancehall songs, reggae, SoCal stuff, and we needed to have something new and weird that we could make our own.”
The album will be titled Punk Rock Steady, and is set to drop on June 15, 2018 via Fat Wreck Chords. Listen to the band’s rendition of Green Day‘s “She” below. Pre-orders are live.
