Queercore Darlings Middle-Aged Queers have announced that they have recruited Fureigh (The Homobiles / The Shondes) as their new guitarist. Following the success of their recent all-ages show in Oakland, which hit capacity within five minutes of the opening band starting, and their recent sold-out show supporting GayC/DC at San Francisco’s Bottom Of The Hill, Middle-Aged Queers will revive mosh pits and make dance floors slippery all the way down the California coast, then hop on a plane to do it across the border at Montreal’s Pouzza Fest, with a quick stop in Burlington.

“After Ms. Rona canceled all our 2020 tour dates, we’re stoked to finally hit the road and spread the queercore gospel to the poor lost lambs of the world. With the addition of our pal Fureigh (they/them) on guitar, we’ll be bringing all the hits — both of them! — as well as songs from our upcoming ‘Shout at the Hetero’ album (Say10 Records).”

Founded in 2019 by ex-members of The Cost, Fang, The Insaints and Yaphet Kotto, Middle-Aged Queers are a Bay Area “super group” of Jurassic Punks on a mission to make punk rock gay again. Middle-Aged Queers recently released Gary’s Satanic Mills, a four-song picture disc EP available through their own OutPunx Records imprint.
