“No Escape 1990-1993” Retrospective Announced

The seed for seminal hardcore band No Escape was planted in 1989 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Tim Singer (Deadguy / Kiss It Goodbye) and Steve Crudello (Turning Point / Seven Gone) met while living in NYC. About a year later, Steve and Tim became housemates in Ocean City, NJ, Steve started jamming with drummer Chris Brisiel and bassist Ben Lerman. After a few practices and a few songs were written, Tim soon tried out and No Escape went from being a fun idea to a reality. During their original years, No Escape released a demo, split with Turning Point and 1995’s Just Accept It album and In 2021 the band briefly reunited and recorded Selective Punches

Fast forward to today and No Escape have teamed up with Revelation Records for the release of No Escape: 1990-1993 on November 8th. This record captures all the studio material the band recorded from 1990 to 1993 with new mixes and mastering by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege that are compiled together for the first time. You can stream the lead track, Silenced, via YouTube now and it will be available via streaming platforms from the 11th October.

“Ironically, a song titled ‘Silenced’ is the sonic punch that announced No Escape’s riff-heavy, brand of hardcore music to the world. It was the first studio song recorded by the band a mere 17 days after their inception. The song, always a crowd favorite, stands up as well today as it did when it came out in 1990.
