Singing Lungs Release New Album “Coming Around”

Today sees the release of Singing Lungs‘ sophomore album, Coming Around, via Count Your Lucky Stars Records (US), Sell The Heart Records (US), Engineer Records (UK) and Waterslide Records (Japan). Coming Around presents a collection of songs blending influences from 90’s pop punk, alternative and grunge with the hooks and raw energy of 80’s power pop. The songs, written and demoed remotely during the early stages of the pandemic, reflect on themes of friendship, connection and creativity during times of isolation.

Coming Around was recorded by Rick Johnson (Mustard Plug / Jeff Rosenstock) at Cold War Studios, mastered by Justin Perkins (Bash & Pop / Screeching Weasel / Yesterday’s Kids) at Mystery Room Mastering with artwork designed by former Lookout! Records owner, Christopher Appelgren. Coming Around also features guest appearances from Laura Stevenson, Jamie Woolford (The Stereo), Miski Dee Rodriguez (City Mouse) and Rick Johnson.
