Pop punk pioneers Squirtgun, formed by legendary producer Mass Giorgini and featuring members of Screeching Weasel and Common Rider, have announced the 30th anniversary reissue of their long out of print, self titled debut album, that was originally released on Lookout Records in 1995. This special edition will be released by Sounds Rad! Records, the label behind acclaimed reissues from The Mr. T Experience, Pansy Division, The Mopes and more. Remastered by Giorgini at his famed Sonic Iguana Studios, the album returns with renewed energy and clarity, just in time for its October 10th anniversary. The album features fan favorites like Social, famously featured in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats, and Make It Up, which includes a rare guest vocal appearance by Green Day‘s Mike Dirnt.
To mark this milestone, Sounds Rad! has refreshed the original artwork and added a brand-new 11×22 insert featuring complete lyrics and a heartfelt foreword by Lookout Records founder Larry Livermore. A limited early edition of the reissue, pressed on translucent red, yellow, and blue splatter vinyl, will debut around Squirtgun‘s appearance at Italy’s Punk Rock Raduno festival. A standard retail edition and fully remastered digital release will follow on October 10th. Collectors and longtime fans can also pick up newly designed merch, including T-shirts, enamel pins, and stickers.
