Manchester Punk Festival have released the 36th volume of their compilation series ahead of next year’s festival. Manchester Punk Festival Vol. 36 is…
Stuttr is a band about contrast. Their intention has fundamentally stayed the same from the very first day of practice. Take their music seriously but not themselves. Maintaining authenticity and kindness in a world where subcultures eat you up and spit you out for being enthusiastic. Experimental post punk with a taste of shoegaze their music hits you with a wall of sound cut up by uninhibited guitar riffs at its center. The rhythm section holds the reins on the group’s signature sound with hard-hitting definition. Erratic song structure and explosive energy performing complete the juxtaposition of their serious lyrical subject matter tackling the honesty of mental health struggles in many volumes. After signing with Early Onset Records in late 2020 the band have now released their sophomore EP, Stuck In The Muck, via digital platforms and they plan to tour their butts off after finishing their future full length.
Banding together in 2018 after countless failed attempts of different lineups in bands with a lack of passion and commitment, the band joined together by becoming an impromptu support group of sorts around the kitchen table during a house party. Bonding over the same frustration of wanting more than anything to play music with like-minded individuals Jono, Ralph, and Brie vowed to jam the very next week. The band wrote their first song that very practice. After going separate ways with their first drummer in 2020, Heather joined forces and fitted in like a puzzle piece making Stuttr what they are today.
