Swedish punk hardcore band Bödel, who feature members of Antabus, Chörnobyl, The Crown, Deny, Mähälium, Pastoratet, Liptones and Sub Alert in their all star Scandinavian line up, formed earlier this year and hit the ground running. Rehearsing for the first time in February, they hit the studio the following month and laid down ten tracks with their debut live performance following shortly afterwards. Bödel have no intentions of reinventing the wheel, they just play d-beat-driven hardcore and punk, the way it’s always been done.
The band released their first single, Bilan Faller, in June, their debut EP, Välkommen Till Avrättningen, followed in August. Now the band have announced that they will re-release Guidance Patrol via digital platforms On the 8th of November. This track is about the death of Jina Mahsa Amini who was killed by the Guidance Patrol in Iran in 2022. The future of Bödel is to keep raw uncompromising punk & hardcore going, they still don’t want to reinvent the wheel, just to spin it a little bit faster.
