The Cheats Confirm New Album “Old Rats On A New Ship” To Be Released This Summer

Pittsburgh’s The Cheats have announced they will return with their long awaited sixth studio full album, Old Rats On A New Ship, that will be released this Summer via Screaming Crow Records, the album will also feature cover art designed by Alex Hagen (The Ravagers). The Cheats are currently recording acoustic versions of some older songs that will be included on the CD version, the band have also revealed that the lead single will be the over the top, alcohol infused rager, Fucking Up.

After departure of guitarist Rob Senomar in 2023, the band decided to scrap most of the songs they had written with Rob and start fresh with new guitarist & producer, Johnny Razorblade, who has previously worked with band on the Cussin’, Crying N Carrying On, XXI and the Cheap Pills 20th anniversary reissue. The Cheats will be touring in the run up to the album’s release with a handful of US dates already confirmed over the coming months, you can view the band’s tour dates here.
