The Cockney Rejects “The Greatest Hits Vol. 1 & 2” Reissue Announced

Cherry Red Records and Captain Oi! Records have announced they will release a 38 track double CD digipack that features The Greatest Hits Vol. 1 and The Greatest Hits Vol. 2 by The Cockney Rejects, the most commercially successful releases by the influential London street punk / Oi! band that were both originally released in 1980. The Cockney Rejects Greatest Hits Vol 1 & 2 will be released on the 12th July and will include ten bonus tracks along with a packed booklet that features lyrics to all the songs, extensive liner notes and reproductions of all the relevant picture sleeves from the era.

Neither album is a greatest hits compilation, the double CD contains the band’s first two modestly titled albums. Their debut album, Greatest Hits Vol. 1 includes the likes of I’m Not A Fool, Bad Man and what is probably their best known single, The Greatest Cockney Rip Off. The second disc features their sophomore album, which was naturally called Greatest Hits Vol.2, that features hits like I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, We Can Do Anything and We Are The Firm.
