The Pukes by Mark Richards 1Punk ukulele band, The Pukes, are releasing a Christmas single to help raise money for Camden charity Rock ’N’ Roll Rescue. The cheeky new track, titled Exmas†, is a festive ditty written in sympathy with all the parents who will be putting up with their ex on Christmas Day for the sake of the kids.

Profits from the sale of the single will go to Rock ‘N’ Roll Rescue, a charity, set up by Knox Carnochan, original frontman of 77 punk stars, The Vibrators.

Rock ‘N’ Roll Rescue was set up by Carnochan earlier this year with the aim of helping people “at the bottom of the welfare system”. So far they’ve helped the Camden branch of The Trussell Trust foodbank as well as Food For All, a charity, which provides food for homeless people in the area.

The Pukes hope the song will raise cash for Rock ‘N’ Roll Rescue where several members of the band volunteer in their spare time. The Camden based charity shop sells musical instruments and equipment, records, CDs, cassettes, clothing and memorabilia. They offer an instrument and audio equipment repair service and host gigs, workshops and other events.

“Exams†” will be available for preorder from December 6, 2015 via iTunes and Amazon

There will be a release party at The Dublin Castle on Sunday, December 6, 2015, featuring a live show from The Pukes, an acoustic set from Knox Carnochan, and brass punk/ska ensemble BrunkTickets on sale now!
