Punk rock mainstays The Sleights will release their brand new four song EP, Atari, on the 24th October. Raw, urgent and packed with the high-energy hooks the band has become known for, Atari marks their latest evolution and a reminder that punk is alive and well in Colorado Springs. Lead single, Earthworms, has already been making waves at recent shows and arrives with a gritty new music video directed by rising videographer Jarrett Barnes. Longtime friend of the band, Barnes captured the song’s heavy emotional themes and kinetic performance energy in a DIY style shoot during a thunderstorm and power outage that only added to the atmosphere. The Sleights will also be playing a hometown record release show at Pagosa Springs, CO’s Motel SOCO on the 24th October with further dates following in November.

“It totally set the mood for the shoot. It hits all the right spots and ends shows with a sense of finality. The song deals with the dread of knowing a relationship is going south, and understanding there is nothing left you can do but see it through until the bitter end.” (vocalist & guitarist Luke Blanton)
