London alt-rockers We Are The Ocean have signed to Side One Dummy Records. The band have also announced that physical copies of their most recent album, Go Now And Live is set for North American release on February 28th 2012, with the digital version available from today from iTunes and other online retailers.
The critically acclaimed Go Now And Live delivers a blend of anthemic melodies in the vein of Foo Fighters and Rise Against with undertones of the aggression found in post-hardcore bands like Alexisonfire. The BBC raved about the album, calling it “a measured and accomplished collection of songs – songs which work together as an album as well as they do individually.”
As well as having established themselves in the UK and Europe through touring with heavyweights such as The Used, Thrice andYou Me At Six, We Are The Ocean have also been prominent on the UK festival circuit this year, and have appeared at the likes of Download and Hevy Fest, as well as having played the main stage at Reading and Leeds.
The band will tour the US for the first time in early 2012 to support the North American release of Go Now And Live. Stay tuned for more updates.
