The Bar Stool Preachers

Grazie Governo - Pirate Press Records

The Bar Stool Preachers are set to release their new album, Grazie Governo, with physical copies set to be in stores from tomorrow, August 24th. Grazie Governo is the album that everyone angry and frustrated with the current political situation has been waiting for, the intelligent and passionate lyrics are backed by the unique, catchy, and creative songwriting that the band has become known and loved for. Grazie Governo is an album that exemplifies everything that The Bar Stool Preachers are about, it contains the energy and commitment that saw them deliver a triumphant headline performance at this years Rebellion Festival.

Grazie Governo follows up on The Bar Stool Preachers acclaimed debut, Blatant Propaganda, and they’ve picked up where they left off with their debut full length. The ska heavy title track kicks the album off with a politically focused number that acts as a call to arms and confirms, in case you hadn’t already guessed, that the album title drips with sarcasm. Grazie Governo carries equal parts ska, punk and working class attitude, but this isn’t your run of the mill ska punk album, The Bar Stool Preachers have a sound that is unmistakably their own, and it’s one that is hard to deny as I witnessed at their packed out headlining set at the Rebellion Festival.

Every track on Grazie Governo is delivered with the kind of heartfelt passion that tells you that The Bar Stool Preachers mean every word of every track, with Grazie Governo it seems that everything has changed for the band, yet in other ways nothing has changed, The Bar Stool Preachers still mix tales from the road with a fierce political focus and a commitment to having a good time that makes this a joyous, yet slightly predictable, follow up to their debut album.

Pre-orders for Grazie Governo are now available via Pirates Press Records here and the album is available via Bandcamp here
