Warriors - Self Released

Orange County’s Brigadiers could quite possibly be one of Southern California’s most epic bands to come out of the area recently. Taking cues primarily from timeless punk rock bands of the late 70’s and early 80’s, the band successfully creates an old school punk rock vibe that merges the likes of The Krays, The Partisans, Cock Sparrer, Street Dogs, Menace, and The Threats. They bring it into this century thanks better production quality that beefs up the choruses. The songs catch your ears with melodic tones all the while enticing fans to the center of the pit with the aggressive vocals, driving riffs, catchy hooks and sing-along melodies.

Brigadiers just released their much anticipated debut EP ‘Warriors’ and it effortlessly pays homage to the classics without sacrificing its modern edge. The EP is a full force, punk rock onslaught with socially relevant, catchy lyrics, driving, hard-hitting guitar hooks and a badass drum beat that makes this five track EP come alive.

You can hear the relevant sounds reminiscing of Pennywise’s earlier albums with “No Surrender”.  “Control” hits you fast with a steady drum beat and percussion helped with clapping hands that segway up to the solo guitar for a final, hard finish. Lyrics are socially related to struggles and angst of all demographics.  Relevant, real and relatable lyrics are in all five tracks on the EP, making this debut both united and inviting.

This five-piece is a force to be heard with talent that could shoot them into the punk rock icon stratosphere bolstered with bold lyrical statements.
