Bite Me Bambi

Hurry Up And Wait - Self Released

2020 has been a relentlessly grim year, the global pandemic has systematically and almost surgically removed much of the joy from our lives, and here in the UK the latest lockdown announcements have guaranteed a Christmas and new year that the Grinch would have been proud of. What we could all do with right now is a relentlessly upbeat pick me up that will lift our battered spirits, and that is exactly what OC ska punks Bite Me Bambi have delivered with their debut six track EP, “Hurry Up And Wait“. Bite Me Bambi‘s much anticipated debut EP collects together all of their 2020 singles, along with a previously unreleased track ,’This Love Is Dead‘, or in the band’s own words; “This collection of songs represents the origin of Bite Me Bambi. Essentially they were the first initial songs Tahlena and Brian wrote before and while the band was forming. We feel that this collection is a good representation of where the band was in 2019-2020 and as always we are happy to put them out so the fans can have all the singles in one EP”.

Bite Me Bambi bring together old school ska and two tone with vintage ska punk, it’s no coincidence that veterans from My Superhero, Save Ferris and Starpool are amongst their line up, and add their own special ingredient to produce something that is genuinely special. From ‘Hot Lava‘ onwards you’re in for something that borders on perfection, uplifting ska punk that is simultaneously old school yet sounds as fresh as the first time you heard your favourite ska punk staple. All five of Bite Me Bambi‘s singles have been perfect moments, from the ska punk ‘Strippers On A Sunday‘ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Be‘, through the true crime inspired “ska & order” duo of ‘Carried Away‘ and ‘This Love Is Dead‘ to the laid back skank of ‘Crazy‘, this is the perfect soundtrack to lift you out of the doldrums. The cure for COVID might not be with us just yet, but with “Hurry Up And Wait” Bite Me Bambi have delivered the perfect antidote for the ennui of lockdown.

You can stream “Hurry Up And Wait” via all good digital service providers and the EP will also get a vinyl release in the new year.
