Sheffield’s Sweet Little Machine were recently crowned Fireball’s Hottest Band 2017, an achievement that has catapulted them from playing intimate local venues to touring the UK with the likes of Don Broco, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Patent Pending and Wheatus, as well as a prestigious slot on the upcoming Fireball – Fuelling The Fire UK Tour with Anti-Flag, Mad Caddies, Reel Big Fish and The Skints, and now Sweet Little Machine are set to self release the Monsters EP ahead of their forthcoming appearances on the Fireball – Fuelling The Fire Tour.
By anyone’s standards Kill The Hero is an impressive opening number, all gruff punk swagger and drive with a glorious pop punk sheen. Hurricanes continues the bouncy punk rock assault before the the gloriously titled D!ckwad brings a frantic burst of energy that is guaranteed to send the mosh pits into delirium. The EP’s title track brings a bouncy and radio friendly element that recalls Green Day‘s anthemic style and Miracles continues the energised adrenaline feel of the EP, before finally A Day Too Soon lets you down gently with a heartfelt melancholy finale.
For those lucky enough to be attending the Fireball – Fuelling The Fire UK Tour next month the Monsters EP is all the reason you need to make sure you’re out early as Sweet Little Machine have delivered a gloriously infectious EP. Monsters demonstrates exactly why Sweet Little Machine beat all comers and were crowned Fireball’s Hottest Band 2017, this is an impressive release that fans of the likes of Green Day, Fall Out Boy, You Me At Six and A Day To Remember will adore, and you can guarantee that after hearing the Monsters EP I’ll be down the front for the opening night of the Fireball – Fuelling The Fire UK Tour.
Monsters is set for release on 6th October 2017 and can be pre-ordered
