“50 Years of Punk” Documentary Announces UK Screenings

Screenbound Pictures will be unveiling the documentary feature film 50 Years of Punk, which will debut in UK cinemas from 18th September 2026, with special Q&A preview screening with director Mark Sloper will be taking place at Sheffield’s Showroom on the 16th September at 8pm with tickets available here. The 50 Years of Punk documentary traces the explosion of punk on London’s Kings Road and is the most authentic insider account of punk’s evolution and legacy, by the artists and people who lived it. Fifty years on, punk’s core values of individuality, creativity, authenticity and freedom, are more relevant than ever. Punk was never about the music, it is a way of life.

Featuring interviews and footage with Hugh Cornwell (The Stranglers), Dave Vanian & Rat Scabies (The Damned), Vivienne Westwood, Gaye Advert (The Adverts), Richard Jobson (The Skids), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Jan Wobble (Public Image Ltd), Terry Chimes (The Clash), Tony James (Generation X), Viv Albertine (The Slits) and many many more. 50 Years of Punk was directed by Mark Sloper (Sid! By The People Who Knew Him / The Story of Skids: Scotland’s No.1 Punk Band).
