American Steel were one of the last great bands to come out of Berkeley’s 924 Gilman scene. Forged in the same fires as Operation Ivy, Crimpshrine, Green Day and Rancid, the band are now finally set to reissue their 1998 self titled album on CD, vinyl and digital formats via Red Scare Industries on the 20th March. American Steel have also announced a trio of Californian tour dates in march in support of the release, you can view the tour dates and purchase tickets here.

“AmSteel evolved into one of the most artful and sophisticated punk bands around, but this quartet began as a truly raw and wrathful DIY outfit, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share this 17-song hidden gem.
