Amp Magazine recently sat down for an interviewed Nick 13 of California-based psychobilly outfit Tiger Army. The frontman discussed not only his long running band, but also his progress on his long anticipated solo project:
“This is the first record I’ve done where travel was a big part of the writing process for me (not counting touring of course). I spent quite a bit of time in Nashville, studying the history, soaking up the live music. I’d never gone somewhere just to get inspired and write. I was finding it difficult to write at home, everyday life has so many distractions both good and mundane. There are points in history where Nashville hasn’t always been great in terms of industry politics, but there’s no denying that there’s a real musical energy in the air there that’s incredibly inspiring.”
In bad related news, Tiger Army will be playing their annual Halloween show at the end of the month, Octoberflame, for which they will be performing Power Of Moonlite: II from front to back.
