Banner Pilot re-releases “Pass The Poison” Tapes on Hosehead Records

Fat Wreck Chord’s Banner Pilot has re-released their debut EP Pass The Poison on Hosehead Records with a one-time pressing of 100, hand numbered and assembled, limited edition cassette tapes.

Pass The Poison is very raw and fast compared to Banner Pilot’s more recent releases. The debut EP was half recorded at a studio and half at Nick’s house. The guitar tracks were recorded using PODs, not amps, according to BannerPilot.net.

All of Hosehead Records‘ releases are on small run cassettes. The label will usually do around 100 copies, just enough to recoup the costs and fund the next release, according to Patrick at Hosehead. “Banner Pilot are such a rad band that I’d have put out any of their records,” he said.

Last week Banner Pilot released their third LP “Heart Beats Pacific”, which has been getting many positive reviews, and comparisons to the sounds of Jaw Breaker, Dillinger Four, Alkaline Trio and Off With Their Heads.
