Brent Hood from Cumbria has just announced the upcoming release of this his third single since setting out on a solo venture, his previous band Break The Stereo Type had a mini album out back in 2018, and not to rest on his laurels, the debut full length ‘Call me What You Want’ is scheduled for release in July of this year (watch this space for more detail when they come in). The latest single ‘Small Town Syndrome’ features Brent doing what he most probably was born to do, play pop/punk, after a short stint trying out Metal.  If you looking for a full on DIY artist to back, then you definitely need to get your ears round this single and go check out his previous releases.

This single has Brent singing about what its like to live in a small town and finding it hard to push beyond the lack of aspirations and backing that living in this kind of community bring, a track that musically gives you all the best of pop/punk wrapped up perfectly in less than three minutes, an infectious chorus, simple to the point lyrics, all played/produced and recorded by Brent himself, this all brings about a sound that will in my opinion (if that’s with anything) go a very very long way.

If your a fan of The Ramones or Green Day or you have heard of LoGOz/Peesh to be more local, then this is 100% for you. The single will be out Via Brent own label HOLD Recordings on April 1st
