Civet's Van Theft Turns To High Speed Chase

Civet, who just recently lost its rhythm section, seem to be undergoing more drama. In Denver last Wednesday, after returning from a Canadian tour, their van was stolen.

The suspect led the police on a chase that started in Long Beach and ended in a watery crash into a fire hydrant that included gunfire, in the city of Paramount. At one point the “band van” was even seen driving the wrong way on the 91 fwy. Guitarist Suzi Stefano commented saying:

“We are just thankful to have unloaded almost all the equipment 2 days ago. It could have been a lot worse. That was a close call!”

Civet is taking full legal action & hopes to restore the van back to it’s original state. A video of the chase can be seen on CBS News.
