The New Catastrophes “Weather The Storm” On New Album
San Jose, CA's The New Catastrophes have released their new album, Weather The Storm, via streaming platforms, as a free…
Codefendants, the punk trio consisting of Sam King (Get Dead), a punk-rock lifer with ink-stained fists and scars from a thousand wrong turns, Julio “Ceschi” Ramos, a poet, ex-con, and underground hip-hop ghost who once sold weed to pay rent, and Fat Mike (NOFX), who once spent 24 hours in Disneyland jail for causing a scene. Codefendants have now released their sophomore album LIFERS, that arrives on the heels of two acclaimed singles, Rivals, which featured hip-hop legend The D.O.C., and Lonely Life, which featured Sublime’s Jakob Nowell. Codefendants have also issued the 80s inspired video for The Fix to coincide with the release of LIFERS, which, along with preceding singles, offers a glimpse into the sonic diversity of the trio. LIFERS is now available through streaming platforms here and on black and splatter vinyl variants here.
Codefendants are three dangerous bastards with criminal records and musical ambitions who fuse raw punk aggression with sharp lyricism, dark humor, and street-level honesty. The trio released their debut album, This Is Crime Wave, in 2023, which landed like a molotov cocktail through the window of an industry built on lip-syncers and safe bets. 2026 will be a monstrous year for the trio as they continue to tour around the world in support of LIFERS.
