At the start of May 2025, things were going really well for legendary anarcho punk band Conflict. They’d just released This Much Remains, their first album of new music in nearly two decades, and the band were looking forward to embarking on a whole new era for their music and message, now more relevant than ever as the world continued to burn with injustice and corruption. The album was rapturously received by fans new and old, many heralding it as their finest work since their iconic The Ungovernable Force album that was released back in ’86. Then, the unthinkable happened and the band’s founding member and leader, Colin Jerwood, suddenly passed away at the end of May, leaving an impossible void in the band to fill, and an out-pouring of grief and love from family, friends and followers across the globe. Conflict will release Live In Holland on the 20th March 2026 via Mortarhate Records, the album captures the band recorded live at Bibelot, Dordrecht on the 26th of September 2025, roaring through a set of classic Conflict songs and tracks from the new album. The band sound electrified, passionate and completely on a mission to do justice to Colin’s legacy and work, which they did with aplomb. This is a lasting testament to Conflict’s achievements and message.

“Colin did his first gig with us of 2025, just before his 63rd birthday and then two more gigs in Ireland, in the middle of the month. So, all was looking good for the future of Conflict. Then the worst possible news imaginable happened and, just like that, we lost Colin. Our founding member. Our leader. Conflict. I cannot overstate the devastating impact this news had on me. As a band we were all reeling with the terrible news, yet at the same time had some decisions to make within the midst of our grief. The decision whether to continue with the gigs we had planned had to be taken swiftly but, it was not taken lightly and involved discussion with Colin’s children, James and Georgia. I am grateful to them for making a video statement confirming the tribute gigs, at what must have been an incredibly difficult time and thank them for their support throughout. Were we doing the right thing or not, and whether I could do the songs any justice? It was an unenviable position to be in, and I had no idea how it would be received. However, from the first gig we experienced a lot of support, love and solidarity from the Conflict supporters and this was our experience throughout the ‘Tribute to Colin’ gigs. So, thank you to everyone who has shared this experience with us, shared their stories and what Colin and Conflict have meant to them. It has been of great comfort. throughout. I couldn’t imagine better companions on what has been a very emotional journey.” (vocalist Fiona Friel)

“Dad was always clear that Conflict was more about the message behind it than the band itself, and I am sure he would have wanted the message to be projected as loudly as possible following on from his passing. Another decision behind this was of course the new album coming out prior to his death. Dad was never the type of person to be anxious about things, but believe it or not, living with him I can tell you firsthand that he was a little nervous to create a new album after over 20 years without bringing anything out. However, from the first day he started on the new album, I could see the energy and life it brought back into him and how excited he was becoming as it was progressing. Unfortunately, none of us knew that he wouldn’t get to perform much of the new album at all, so it was only right that the supporters got to listen to it live at gigs, and the band has done a great job so far with tributing these gigs towards him. They really have gone above and beyond with the banners, slideshows, and incorporating Dad’s voice into gigs, this has greatly made Dad’s presence still be felt during each performance. I couldn’t thank them enough for always taking my ideas and getting my input on decisions. I know Dad would be so proud of every one of them for the way they have shown such great strength and continuing on in such difficult times.” (Colin’s son James Jerwood)
