Domino Music have announced that they are set to re-release Homosapien and XL-1, the first two solo albums from Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks), on CD and vinyl on the 6th June. This is the first time both albums have been reissued individually as standalone releases since they were included as part of a box set by Genetic Records in 2018. Both albums come housed in gatefold sleeves featuring the original fully restored artwork, including an extra disc featuring B-sides, dubs & extended mixes. The inserts will feature new photos & imagery along with extensive sleeve notes from the acclaimed writer Clinton Heylin.

Domino Music will also release Yesterday Is Not Here, a collection of Pete Shelley‘s solo sessions that were recorded for Manchester’s Picadilly Radio in 1979 and BBC Radio One’s Kid Jensen Show in 1981 and 1983. These latter two sessions were recorded after the break up of Buzzcocks, in support of Shelley’s Homosapien and XL-1 albums. Yesterday Is Not Here is being released for Record Store Day and is pressed on limited edition clear vinyl with full colour insert featuring new liner notes from Clinton Heylin and unreleased photos.
