Spin Magazine has posted an exclusive mp3 download of Frank Turner‘s “Peggy Sang the Blues” off of his upcoming album England Keep My Bones (June 7). In the song, Peggy is a reference to Frank’s grandmother who inspired him to be the free spirited individual he is today. The song is also a chance for Turner to reflect on fond memories of his grandmother.
“She was totally awesome… She got me drinking whisky and playing poker at age 10. She passed away a long time back but I think of her often.”
