Dublin noiseniks Bucket return today with new single, Nonsense, that packs in elements of garage, noise, hardcore and electronic music into a volatile three minutes that simmers with tension before collapsing into something erratic and confrontational. Lyrically, vocalist Cian Dahdouh taps into society’s fixation with extreme psychology and the uneasy voyeurism of true crime culture. Bucket will also be embarking on a co-headline tour of Ireland with Heavy Lungs this February, with festivals including ArcTanGent and FOCUS Wales confirmed for later this year.

“The song is written from the perspective of a fictional stalker, unfolding as an internal monologue that exposes their obsessive and unsettling mindset. It draws on feelings of paranoia and being watched, alongside society’s fascination with mentally unstable people who commit horrific acts. The popularity of true crime reflects a desire to understand how these minds work, which pushed me to explore that space.” (Cian Dahdouh)
