Norwich UK’s Eat Your Own Head have revealed their new single, Trawler, that is available via all good streaming services. The track is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming EP of the same name that is set for release on 31st May via Drongo Records. The new single gives an overview of the EP’s main lyrical theme as it captures the emotional baggage, vices and restlessness that accumulate over the course of adult life. Sonically, the single dances from frantic verses to an explosive and ferocious finish, making subtle references to various musical styles outside of the rock sphere, with a samba-influenced rhythm evolving into a heavy afro-beat feel as the crescendo approaches.

Laid down in sessions during Nov/Dec 2023 by producer David Vickers, mixed by Mikey Shaw, and mastered by Katie Tavini, the band’s forthcoming new EP was recorded at the Bomb Store Studio, nestled in the atomic bomb store and servicing facility on Thetford Heath, one of the two central stores built in the mid 1950’s to coincide with the deployment by the RAF of its first operational atomic bomb, codenamed Blue Danube. Fresh from recent support slots with Heavy Lungs and The Fierce And The Dead the band have a run of select UK dates lined up for the summer months, you can view the tour dates and purchase tickets here.
