Equator is a Toronto band fronted by Russ Fernandes (Shikasta / The Mercy Now) with Jeff MacNeil and members from Garbanzo. This new five-piece soul punk assault gives their newly released anthemic rock n rollers all the boogie, rage, forgiveness and sweat you need to believe in, LIVE. Their new self titled full length record, clocking in under 25 mins, was recorded live off the floor at Pro Gold Studios loud, fast, bombastic and lyrically drenched with how far we still are from equality, and the work we need to put in as a village not a house.
Equator’s self titled debut album is now available via streaming platforms, the band will also be playing a run of album release shows, commencing tonight at Toronto’s Monarch Tavern with support from Dead Broke and Enchanters. The tour then moves onto Montreal’s Barfly with The Low Sixes on the 26th and Ottowa’s Avant Garde Bar with Birddog on the 27th.
