Tampere, Finland’s Sumu deliver aggressive and fresh Hardcore Punk that the band describes as ‘sotecore’, which translates as social and healthcare The band’s members have all worked in social and healthcare for years and they channel their experiences and frustration from the work field into their songs. Sumu released their eponymous debut EP in December 2024 and now Sumu are back with their sophomore EP, which takes its listeners deep into the dark shadows of the decay of modern society.
The four songs on the Olipa Kerran Ihmisyys EP deal with, among other things, war-hungry leaders and social phenomena caused by the austerity policy of the Finnish rightwing government.
