The Foreign Dissent Festival returns for its milestone 10th anniversary, continuing its tradition of bringing punk bands from outside the US to Orlando, Florida for one special night. This year’s event features ten bands from six countries, with many of the bands performing their very first show in the United States. Founded in 2014, Foreign Dissent is a DIY punk showcase rooted in community, discovery, and international connection that will take place on October 20th at Will’s Pub in Orlando. Foreign Dissent‘s 10th anniversary celebration features Back Teeth (England), Descartes A Kant (Mexico), Germinar (Chile), Harker (England), LEXT (Japan), Modern Shakes (England), Sunliner (England), Small State (Germany), Swear (Italy) and Toodles & The Hectic Pity (England). “When I started Foreign Dissent in 2014, it felt like a crazy experiment. Now, to be here in 2025 at our 10th event, it’s amazing. I get so much joy from helping bands kick off their FEST journey with this show. One of my favorite parts is seeing the bands, especially those playing their first U.S. shows (6 of 10 this year), so excited to be in front of an audience. It creates this beautiful give and take energy between the crowd and the bands.” (Foreign Dissent Festival organiser Craig Mazer)
