While many musicians struggle with their sophomore release, the tracks on Kobayashi Maru are more cohesive and bolder, proving that the band members have honed their skills and also gelled as a band. Each song packs a melodic punch and somehow manages to embrace all the relationship woes of a good pop song without ever becoming trite.
