Ginnel are a new and exciting garage punk outfit from the heart of the North West of he UK. Treading in the footsteps of long forgotten ghosts and taking compress readings along the way from the likes of Stack Waddy, The Modern Lovers, Blue Orchids and The Swell Maps, Ginnel are bringing old sounds to new ears. After playing support slots with the likes of The Lovely Eggs, Deja Vega and The Membranes, the band set up camp in 6dB Studios in Salford with producer Simon ‘Ding’ Archer to capture the bands live energy and true sound. Their debut single will feature two tracks, ‘Blueprint‘ and ‘S.M.XL‘, and is set for release on the 9th October via The Sound Mirror Recording Company, it will features the artwork of Paul Simpson, comes with a full colour inner sleeve and is a limited numbered edition of only 200. You can pre-order the single via Action Records here and view the ‘Blueprint‘ video below

I have had the honour of photographing them at a number of gigs the most recent in February earlier this year at the Festival of Psychedelia at Kanteena in Lancaster where they played with their new bassist Pete Brown who some of you may recognise for his work in Evil Blizzard.
