Manchester Punk Festival Releases 38th Compilation
Manchester Punk Festival have released the 38th volume of their compilation series ahead of this year’s festival. Manchester Punk Festival Vol. 38 is…
Glow & The Dark, a solo project of San Diego multi-instrumentalist & songwriter AJ Peacox who is best known for his years playing in bands such as Weatherbox, Sundressed, Oso Oso and Future Crooks. Signed to San Diego’s Dark Horse Coffee Records, Glow & The Dark is a project where AJ can draw on influences from his many bands to craft songs with “no other intention than to work on stuff that makes [him] happy”. The DIY musician has now released a limited edition Glow & The Dark coffee, alongside a digital single of his newest track, I Don’t Want To Skate. The track is a quick and quirky track of angst against the toxic masculinity of some of the “skater kids.”
“Jordan & I knew we’d be gone playing with Oso Oso for almost 2 months, so we wanted to release this song to hold people over until we got back to record more. The most exciting part of this release is that we got one of my favorite local artists Loser Heavy to do the artwork. It looks awesome on the new bags of coffee we’re releasing along with it!” (AJ Peacox)
While Peacox and Krimston are on tour with Oso Oso, you can support their work by heading to Bandcamp and finding a new way to rise and grind with the Limited Edition Coffee Bundle from Dark Horse Coffee Records.
