Folky Gainesville, FL trio Greenland Is Melting has announced the release of the group’s sophomore full-length,Where We’re At. The album is currently set for an September 27, 2011 release via Paper + Plastick Records. The disc was mixed and mastered by Stephen Egerton. Front man Karl Seltzer comments on the forces shaping the new record:
“We are heavily influenced by the city we come from… We all are huge fans of the punk scene and love a lot of the music that is coming out of it. I think we take little bits of influence from it here and there between our songwriting and the energy we try to give off at a live show as well.”
To rally the troops, the band is giving fans a taste of the album with their new single “Always” over on DyingScene.com. Give it a listen here.
