Ferntree Gully’s La Famiglia have returned in a blaze of glory back in March with their single, Hath No Fury, after a two-year hiatus while frontwoman Beth Seymour (Beth Seymour & The Lizzies) came out as transgender. Now, they’re delivering their killing blow towards a bigoted world on their second full-length album, Alphabet Mafia, that was written, recorded and produced by Beth Seymour at her home studio in Ferntree Gully.

The album is a delicate balance of chaos and melody, equal parts Dag Nasty, Madball, GLOSS and AFI. La Famiglia deliver breakneck punk rock that is underpinned by Seymour’s lyricism that addresses topics such as music industry misogyny, transgender discrimination and violence, family and religious trauma, and queer solidarity.
