Last Hounds have been busy making moves in 2024. The Midlands, UK crossover crew, known for their proficient blend of hardcore punk and nu-metal groove, recently wowed the crowd at Brixton Academy opening for NOFX and causing chaos with a frenzied performance, despite the torrential rain, at Hellfest. The band have now released their new single, Growing Pains, that sees the five piece once again team up with Venn Records for an explosive punk anthem that combines melody, swagger and aggression with devastating effect. For vocalist Mikey Skelcher it’s a personal song that deals with self-taught resilience and learning to roll with the punches as you get older.

“Growing Pains dives headfirst into the crutches we lean on — the people, places, and moments that shape us and keep us grounded. But as life barrels on, when those safety nets get yanked out from under our feet, whether through distance, change, or just the brutal reality of loss, you realise you’re on your fucking own in this race” (Mikey Skelcher)

“Growing Pains rips open the raw truth that getting older doesn’t mean you’re ready for the shit show that is adult life. It’s about how no one really shows you the ropes, leaving you to fumble through the chaos of trying to act like you’ve got your shit together when really we know we’re just barely scraping by.
