Me First & The Gimme Gimmes Record Japanese Covers Album

Me First and the Gimme GimmesAccording to Alternative Press, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have wrapped up work on an EP of Japanese-language covers. Recorded at the Foo Fighters’ 606 Studio, the still-untitled EP is due this summer via Fat Wreck Chords.

The EP features covers of songs such as Takuryo Yoshida’s “Kekkon Shiyoyo,Kai Band’s “Hero” and Tulip’s Kokoro No Tabi.” Once released, the band has plans to head to Japan in September to play some festivals and club dates.

This is the second EP in the band’s “World EPs” series after the recently released Australian covers album – Go Down Under. Other albums will feature Spanish, Italian, German and French songs.
