Middle Aged Queers Debut New Single & Video “Satanic Mills” & Release Picture Disc EP “Gary’s Satanic Mill”
Oakland, CA queercore veterans Middle-Aged Queers have released their new single, Satanic Mills. The track appears on the band’s brand new 7 inch picture disc record, Gary’s Satanic Mill, via the band’s own label Outpunx Records, and as the return release from the East Bay’s notorious Wingnut Records. The song will also appear on the band’s upcoming sophomore album, Shout At The Hetero, that is scheduled for release via Say-10 Records in 2022.
“Satanic Mills was written in April of 2020, inspired by the cancellation of our tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were supposed to be spreading our queercore gospel to the masses instead of working day jobs in the midst of the apocalypse. In July 2021, Middle-Aged Queers shot an 80’s style glam rock video complete with wigs, glitter, smoke machines, and fake leather pants in an attempt to manifest the success and opulence we are destined to achieve as gay rock icons.” (frontqueer Shaun Osburn)
Satanic Mills is now available digitally and on the Gary’s Satanic Mill EP alongside a cover of The Middle Class‘ Home Is Where and two tracks, Gary’s Making Biscuits & I Got The Gay Edge, from their debut album Too Fag For Love. The Gary’s Satanic Mill EP is now available on picture disc 7 inch, including an extremely limited edition variant, and digitally via Bandcamp. The limited edition picture disc is a benefit for Rogers & Rosewater, a direct action program providing hot meals to homeless Oaklanders. Rogers & Rosewater is the 501c3 non-profit run by Gary the biscuit making cat’s human, Bopha.
