Never Ending Game have dropped their new single and video, Tank On E, that sees the hardcore band embracing their rock and metal influences. It puts Mikey Petroski‘s vocal chops on full display, offering a catchy chorus while still maintaining a rough around the edges sound driven by compelling guitar riffs. The accompanying video, that was filmed and directed by ReelLife Creative House, finds the band performing in different locations around Detroit.

“Inspired by an overheard story of a guy who just got out of the pen trying to get their life on track. They realized that things aren’t as different as they seem. The lyric “might need a lobotomy… just a little off the top” is a direct quote from the man himself.  The guy’s trying not to fall back into his old ways, and is begging for a little more time to make good on his second chance.” (Mikey Petroski)

Tank on E follows on from the singles Memories and Never Die from Never Ending Game‘s upcoming sophomore album, Outcry, that is set for release on May 12th via Triple B Records. Outcry was produced, recorded, and mixed by Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording and mastered by Brad Boatright at AudioSeige. The record builds off the band’s life in Detroit, from lyrics and influences to imagery, while exuding a general feeling of hopelessness and optimism at the same time. Across the eleven songs on the album, the band take their sound to the next level, creating old school hardcore through a modern lens.
