David Delinquent Releases “Scared To Spend” EP
Dundee’s David Delinquent (The Delinquents / David Delinquent & The IOU’s / Football, Beer & Punk Rock Podcast) has self released a brand new EP, Scared…
Connecticut trio Perennial are delighted to announce their return this year with their forthcoming new album, Art History, that is set for release on the 7th June via Ernest Jenning Record Co. in the US and Safe Suburban Home in the UK. When Perennial went into the studio to begin work on Art History, their upcoming third full length, one phrase remained at the forefront of their creative minds: “pop art”. Everything should be bold and electric, instantly memorable and insistently chic. They were after something sharp and stylish. Art History finds the New England three-piece mastering their modernist punk as a collage of 60’s mod grooves, post-hardcore angles, Stax soul and experimental electronic music.
Co-produced by the band and engineer Chris Teti (The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die), Art History is the follow-up to the band’s 2022 breakthrough, In The Midnight Hour, and feels like a celebration of all the ways the band has pushed themselves so far. Last month Perennial dropped the album’s title track on a surprise flexi EP, Lemon On Plastic, that was both the band’s first release for Ernest Jennings Record Co. and an early taste of their upcoming full length. Today they have shared their new single, Action Painting, that roars in with its chic rhythm and noise stomp along with a call to action chorus.
