Pete Shelley Memorial Campaign To Unveil Mural This Sunday

The Pete Shelley Memorial Campaign will unveil the mural celebrating the genius of the late Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks) on Sunday 10th July at 12 noon in the heart of Pete’s hometown, Leigh, UK. The mural will adorn a huge wall overlooking Leigh Town Hall car park and the Civic Square. The design was created by graphic art pioneer Malcolm Garrett and brought to life by acclaimed street artist Akse P19. The unveiling celebrations will start at 12 noon on Sunday 10th July. with speeches led by Malcolm Garrett in front of the mural and from 1pm a free post unveiling show will take place upstairs in The Turnpike Centre that will feature Buzzcocks tribute band Buzzkocks and Static Line.
