PONY Share New Single “Middle Of Summer” & Announce “Clearly Cursed” Album

PONY can’t slow down. Fresh off the heels of their tour with Pool Kids they’ve announced their third full length, Clearly Cursed, will be released on Friday February 13th 2026 through Take This To Heart Records, the album sees the band take the next step in their evolution across ten tracks of sharpened Indie Pop bliss that blends elements of Post-Punk, Trip Hop and early aughts inspired Pop. To ring in the announcement the band has shared the new single, Middle of Summer, whose synth and drum machine heavy intro brings to mind 80’s era Cure before crashing into a wall of massive, fuzzy guitars in the chorus, all held together with singer Sam Bielanski‘s uniquely catchy vocal melodies and rich harmonies. Clearly Cursed is directly inspired by singer Sam‘s first visit to a psychic at the age of 21.

“She read my tarot cards and told me boyfriend was cheating on me, that was true. She also told me that I had a dark spirit attachment which she could easily vanquish if I paid her $1500. That was obviously out of my budget so I left and decided I would have to coexist with this dark spirit for the rest of my life. Middle of Summer is a song about the worst summer of my life, when my cat Frep passed away, When I first wrote this song on my phone, it was just a little synthy pop song and I didn’t have any intentions of releasing it. I was looking for a way to honour my best friend and heal from the pain of losing him. When we started working on it together Matty added all these beautiful guitar parts and the song became one of my favourites we have ever written together. I realized we needed to put this song on the record. I like the juxtaposition of this song being kind of upbeat and dancy, but it’s about one of the saddest times in my life.” (Sam Bielanski)

Along with the new full length, PONY have announced their upcoming tour with Star 99 which begins on February 18th 2026.
