Public Opinion Share “Hothead” From Upcoming “Painted On Smile” Album
Denver, COs’ Public Opinion recently announced their debut album, Painted On Smile, is due out on September 6th via Convulse Records, and today they’re back with their fiery new single and video, Hothead.
Painted On Smile sounds like Public Opinion truly coming into their own, the record takes the melodicism lurking within Public Opinion‘s primordial punk and brings it to the forefront. Co-produced by Ian Shelton (Militarie Gun / Regional Justice Center) along with engineer Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues / God’s Hate) it brings the biting execution of hardcore, the primal swagger of garage rock and the widescreen hooks of 2000s indie rock.
