San Francisco’s Rip Room have shared Complication, the track is the latest single from the band’s forthcoming Spartan Records debut, Alight And Resound, that will be released on the 27th May. Thriving in the Bay Area is no simple task for a band in these times. As competition grows, venues close, and rents continue to rise, the desire for authenticity in art will only increase. Alight And Resound is a testament to the power of seeking brashness over banality. “Complication” is about the failure of society to do meaningful things, and the lack of imagination that’s doomed humanity to repeat the same mistakes over and over. Why isn’t there equitable treatment of all people? Why is there still war? Why can’t the richest country in the history of the world provide healthcare for all of its citizens?
